It's kind of my wife's fault for becoming a wedding officiant. I've thought about it here and there but I never really got to observe someone doing a full ceremony. Everything I had witnessed was short and rather generic, not very personal, if you know what I mean.
My sister-in-law did my sons wedding, and that's when it clicked. She did a wonderful job and provided the whole package - customized just for them. As I watched her, I thought "I want do that" and started running all sorts of scenarios in my head.
I approached my wife with the idea and her response was "What are you asking me for - just go do it". She helped me brainstorm names and '2 At The Altar' was created in October of 2021. I became ordained with American Marriage Ministries, and been having a ball ever since.
I am married with 10 children and am pretty laid back and easy going. I have a great sense of humor, although some would argue it's warped. "Dad Jokes" are a way of life in my house, and I continuously get eye-rolls from both my wife and kids.
I have a background in Theatre and Improv and various community events. My professional career involves presentations to various target audiences as well as running numerous on-line video meetings. Back in the early 2000's I was Cubmaster and then Scoutmaster as my boys traveled through the Boy Scouts of America program.
I know that choosing the perfect wedding officiant is an important job. You and your partner will have plenty on your plate as the weeks become days and the wedding celebration comes into full view. That's why I will work with you and your loved ones in the months leading up to the ceremony to ensure everything is prepared by the time the big day arrives.
